What is Osteopathy?
In order for your body to work well osteopaths believe that your structure must also work well. One of the central tenets of osteopathy is that structure governs function. Hence, osteopaths work to restore the body’s overall balance through physical manipulation, stretching and soft tissue work. This can help to increase mobility of the joints, relieve muscle tension, enhance the blood and nerve supply to tissues and help the body’s own healing mechanisms.
Osteopaths often also provide advice on posture and exercises to aid recovery and complement the care they provide in order to get the body back to its optimum state of health.
Osteopaths take a whole-body approach and know that the body has the incredible ability to heal itself. Osteopaths treat a variety of conditions and at Bolton Spinal Health we aim to use osteopathy to provide a well-rounded approach to good spinal health and help our patients reach their health goals.

It has been fantastic to get some treatment that cures the cause and not just the symptoms. I’m now pain free – Great!
Before coming for treatment I had severe discomfort in my lower back following an operation. This caused problems with my posture. I am now able to stand taller and walk more freely.
Seeing a Chiropractor has changed my life. Previously I was in pain most of the time and my quality of life was restricted. Now I know that there is hope for a future without pain.
This is a practice whose staff are friendly, helpful and professional. My treatment is far from over (arthritic spine, hip surgery etc.) but I am certain that without it I should be in a far worse state than that which I presently enjoy.
Before any treatment, I was very stiff and did not have much movement in my neck. I now have full movement in my neck.
