Is chiropractic care safe?
In short, yes chiropractic care is safe. Our chiropractors are all qualified, and they have to know a lot about human anatomy to make sure they are doing everything correctly. Chiropractic care would not be a treatment if it was not safe.
So, no – chiropractors don’t cause pain, or twist the wrong way, or cause any damage to your joints. Each and everyone one of our chiropractors has training and qualifications in chiropractic care.
We can understand the worry, you may have read some articles or heard some horror stories- but we can confirm a lot of this is not true. Joints are meant to crack, muscles are meant to stretch. It doesn’t matter how loud your back or neck may crack- it is not painful at all.
What is the cracking noise?
The noise you hear are bubbles that are trapped between the joints popping. These bubbles can cause an uncomfortable pressure, so cracking them can relieve that. The bubbles between joints is completely natural, and it is no cause for worry.
However, this is not all chiropractors do- there is a lot more to it than just cracking backs. A chiropractic adjustment is only the beginning, from supporting muscles, re-aligning your joints and bones, jump starting the healing process, and so much more.
What can a chiropractor do for me?
Chiropractors can help treat a multitude of different ailments and pains. Chiropractors don’t just treat your spine either, we can help you from your head to your toes.
We also have a variety of different treatment methods, from using equipment like Shockwave therapy or the IDD Machine, to using simpler tools like a massage gun, and just our hands.
So, what can a chiropractor do for you, the answer to that is our chiropractors can support you in the best way possible and help you live life to the full. We want you to be able to access better health through natural treatment.
There is a large list of what chiropractors can treat and support, here is just a few:
- Back Pain
- Neck Pain
- Headaches/migraines
- Whiplash
- Strains and sprains
- Work and sports-related injuries
- Arthritis
- Restricted movement in your back, neck, shoulders, or any other limbs
- And so much more
There is even evidence that chiropractic care can help problems not affecting your muscles or joints, but can actually help asthma, allergies, and mental health problems.
When should I see a chiropractor?
Seeing a chiropractor should be a priority even if you aren’t in a lot of pain. Chiropractic care can help solve problems before there are symptoms or pain. Maintaining your spinal health, nerve health, joint health, should be a consistent investment.
In the same way you go to a doctor or the hospital for problems within your body, you should see a chiropractor. You want to support your body before you are in a lot of pain.
An analogy we have seen is ‘you would go to a doctor if you had an infection, you would go to hospital if you had a broken leg, why would you not go to a chiropractor if you are in pain.’
