What is Osteopathy?
Osteopathy is a form of complementary medicine involving the treatment of medical disorders through the manipulation and massage of the skeleton and musculature. Meaning that we would massage and manipulate your muscles and help reform the skeleton to get you back to your best form. By doing this we can help bring you back to who you are.
The way osteopathy works is through stretching and mobilising the joints and muscles, reducing pain, relieving muscle tension. Through this your blood circulation improves and therefore, helps your body to heal.
A way we can help you is through osteopathy. Osteopathy treats people whose conditions affect their muscles, bones, and joints. Conditions like lower back pain, uncomplicated neck pain, shoulder pain, elbow pain, migraines, and much more.
What is the difference between Chiropractics and Osteopathy?
The difference between a Chiropractor and an Osteopath is that with chiropractic there is a large focus on the spine, joints, and muscles. An osteopath focuses on the whole body, where the pain can be stemming from and what we can do to help you.
By Osteopaths focusing on the whole body, there is a level of understanding wanting to be reached. Wanting to figure out exactly what is causing your issues, and where it is stemming from in your body. We take that focus of your whole body and do all we can to pin point the root of the issue.
This type of focus enables us to pin down the problem and find a way to help you recover. This includes exercises for you to try at home, specific massages to help the afflicted area, and possible creams/ointments to relieve the area.
